This is stated in the safety rating of the regional centers of Ukraine, which recently was published by the Institute of Social and Economic Research of Ukraine.
The safest regional center of Ukraine is Khmelnitsky followed by Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Chernihiv and Ivano-Frankivsk.
In turn, the five most dangerous cities are Zaporizhzhia, Kropyvnytskyi, Kyiv, Mykolaiv and Sevyerodonetsk.
The most dangerous city to live in, according to the rating, is Zaporizhzhia.
Uzhgorod ranked 6th in the safety rating of the regional centers of Ukraine.
In 2016, almost 172 criminal offenses per 10 thousand people were registered in Uzhgorod and more than 63% of its residents feel safe walking in the city at night.
