Among the draft resolutions for consideration at the meeting of the Executive Committee of Uzhgorod City Council, scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, June 26, which are published on the City Council site, there is one that concerns the issue which became relevant the week before last.
This refers to the reconstruction of the military cemetery in the Shakhta neighborhood, where mostly soldiers, who died during the World War I, are buried.
The presentation of the reconstruction concept was held on June 12, and immediately found both supporters and opponents of the idea. The executive committee decided to announce the contest for preliminary design of the reconstruction of the World War I military cemetery. And this is not all, the working group on the reconstruction of the cemetery is being formed. This is stated in the document – the draft decision, which will be considered tomorrow.
In any case, the formation of the working group suggests that the city government is seriously determined to undertake military cemetery.
