The city authorities initiate the demolition of illegally constructed buildings in Uzhgorod

The Department of State Architecture and Construction Control of Uzhgorod City Council reported that during unscheduled inspections of construction projects, gross violations of the city-planning legislation were revealed, namely: at Dovzhenko st., 5 – major overhaul of existing two-level mansard apartments; 8 Bereznya st., 48a – construction of commercial and office premises and guest houses on a sub-leased land plot; Pidhradska st., 40 – reconstruction of private non-residential premises for commercial purposes; Volodymyrska st., w / o number (opposite the "Epicenter") – construction of an individual residential house.

The Department initiated the filing of lawsuits for demolition of all those facilities.

On July 23, the executive committee of the Uzhgorod City Council filed to the Transcarpathian Regional Administrative Court a lawsuit for the demolition of illegaly constructed building at Dovzhenko st., 5.

By the decision of the Uzhgorod City and District Court of Transcarpathian region, in the autumn of last year, a proceeding in the case of the Uzhgorod City Council against the developer at 8 Bereznya st., 48a concerning the demolition of illegally constructed building was opened.

By the decision of the Transcarpathian Regional Administrative Court, on July 15, this year, a proceeding on the demolition of illegally constructed building at Pidhradska st., 40 was opened. The preparatory hearing is scheduled for August 5th.

A lawsuit for the demolition of the building at Volodymyrska street, which is being built with violation of the rules, is also being prepared.
