On Narodna Square in Uzhgorod, the Christmas tree is already being set up

The main Christmas tree of the region is being set up on the square in front of the Regional State Administration building.

The tree was brought at night from Yasinya forestry in Rakhiv district accompanied by the police. The tree is over 20 meters high, its age is about forty years.

Thus, the main Christmas tree of the region travelled over 250 kilometers. Among the "candidates" for the title of the main regional Christmas tree, there were other trees from Velyky Berezny and Perechyn districts. But this one was chosen because it was the most easily accessible.

The Christmas tree will be decorated with available ornaments and illuminations. The solemn ignition of lights will take place on December 18, at 15 o’clock.

Recall that last year, the Christmas tree on Narodna Square, which was decorated in patriotic colors, entered the Top 10 of the most beautiful Christmas trees in Ukraine.
