The Chief Inspector of the Chop customs office may go to jail for a bribe of 500 dollars

In Transcarpathia, the Chop Customs Office Chief Inspector will be judged for receiving $ 500 of undue advantage

The investigator for particularly important cases of the Investigation Department of Transcarpathian Region Prosecution Office completed pre-trial investigation and sent to the court the indictment against the Chief Inspector of the customs post "Tisa" of the Chop Customs Office for receiving $ 500 of illegal benefit. Currently, Transcarpathian Regional Prosecutor notified the customs officer of being suspected in obtaining of undue advantage combined with extortion of undue advantage under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is being considered.

The said official, on January 20 this year, was detained by prosecutors of Transcarpathian region together with officers of the regional office of the Security Servcie of Ukraine at the customs post while receiving $ 500 of illegal benefit. He demanded the money from an autocarrier for import of goods to Ukraine from Hungary without customs clearance.
