On February 26, the crossing of the border through the checkpoint "Beregsurany-Luzhanka" is suspended from 11:00 to 15:00 (Kyiv time).Both pedestrian and vehicular traffic is blocked. This was reported by the Hungarian police website.
Travelers are advised to cross the border through the checkpoints – "Barabash Kosyno", "Zahony-Chop" or others. The reasons for traffic blocking have not been reported.
Meanwhile, according to the readers of the Mukachevo.net, the traffic through the checkpoint "Kosyno" is also blocked.
The unofficial sources inform that the checkpoints are closed at the Hungarian side, where a special operation to detain corrupt customs officers might be taking place.
The Mukachevo border guard detachment also confirmed the information about the temporary closure of the checkpoint. According to the border guards, investigative activities are taking place on the Hungarian side.
