The chairman of the Transcarpathian Union of Journalists has changed for the first time in 35 years

Today, in the conference hall of the NSTU PJSC branch "Transcarpathian Regional Directorate", there was a reporting and election conference of the regional organization of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine.

35 of the 37 delegates elected at the meetings of primary organizations registered at the conference.

Dmytro Vorobets said that he had been heading the regional organization for 35 years and did not intend to run for the presidency. And he nominated the candidacy of Vitaliy Meshcheryakov – the Director General of NSTU PJSC branch "Transcarpathian Regional Directorate".

 

Then, member of the audit committee Vitaliy Zavadyak reported on the financial status of the regional organization. According to the report, no violations were found.

After that the election of new chairman took place, and Vitaliy Meshcheryakov was elected as the only candidate. 25 people – employees of the media and teachers of journalism department of UzhNU – were elected as members of the Board.

Dmytro Vorobets was elected the executive secretary of the regional organization of the Union.

During the voting for the two vice-chairmen of the regional journalist organization, thr delegates supported Volodymyr Tarasyuk and Vasyl Nytka.
