The Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council helped disabled and participants of the ATO

Transcarpathian regional department of the Ukraine’s federation of sports for disabled with lesions of the musculoskeletal system expresses gratitude to the Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Volodymyr Chubirko for his help. Mr. Chubirko bought for the organization 10 m³ of gravel for the construction of the future sports and rehabilitation center for disabled and participants of the ATO in Uzhgorod. 

As of 01.06.2015, there are 6238 disabled in Uzhgorod. And throughout Transcarpathian region, as of 01.01.2015, 63,530 disabled were registered. Throughut Ukraine, the number of people with disabilities is 2,788,226 people, or 6.1% of the total population of our country. These data are evidence of the relevance and prevalence of disability issues.

         For these millions of people, the creation of a specialized sports and rehabilitation center for disabled is a very important issue.
