The chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Ivan Baloha praised on the appointment of a Transcarpathian as the Head of the RSA.
He said that the appointment of the deputy of Ukraine Valeriy Lunchenko was predictable, and that there was nothing strange about that appointment.
"If the new head of the region works with the public, with all the political forces in the region, and in the interests of Transcarpathia, he will have a huge support. It should be as it was under Ledyda when he was only waiting for directions from Kliuiev and Yanukovych – such actions cause the reaction of the community. "
Also, the chairman of the regional council said that he was still convinced that after the overthrow of the Yanukovych’s regime, it would be better to abolish regional administrations as an institution at all, which would "unite the elite of the East and the West, prevent the risk of retaliation of any other persons, who are appointed to positions of heads of regional administrations, against their opponents."
Ivan Baloha wished the new head of the RSA Valeriy Lunchenko patience, because in the current extremely difficult situation, the head of the executive branch will need it very much.
