The Center for Minority Cultures in Transcarpathia will receive financial support

UAH 3.2 million will be allocated over the next five years for the program of the support of the Center for Minority Cultures in Transcarpathia for 2016 – 2020

 Today, in the region, there are 60 national-cultural associations with the regional status, including: 12 – of Hungarian community, 16 – Roma, 11 – Rusyn, 3 – Russian, 4 – Slovak and Romanian, 3 – Jewish, 2 – German, 1 – Polish, Czech, Azerbaijani, Armenian, Belarusian.

The funds are to be spent for the provision of organizational and technical support to national-cultural associations for holding days, weeks of native language, competitions for the best knowledge of minority languages, support for ethno-cultural association initiatives in holding cultural and artistic events, conducting scientific conferences, assistance in organization of regional festivals.
