The Carpathian Sich declared its non-involvement in the provocation in the center of Uzhgorod

The response to the provocation, that took place in Uzhgorod, was posted on the page Taras Deyak – Leader of the Nationalist Movement Carpathian Sich.

Here is what the statement reads:

The Carpathian Sich condemns the unsuccessful provocation against the Hungarian people that happened last night.

According to local media, unknown people attempted to set fire to the office of the Society of Hungarian Culture of Transcarpathia (KMKSZ), located at: Uzhgorod, Pravoslavna embankment, 5. Thus, they tried to provoke another informational conflict between the Hungarian and the Ukrainian parties.

Our movement has long been standing on anti-chauvinistic positions and for several years has been building fraternal relations between Hungarian and Ukrainian nationalists. Such actions are committed either by hostile special services, or by representatives of chauvinistic parties, or by Ukrainian or Hungarian authorities to create an artificial conflict and destabilize the situation in the region. In addition, such provocations weaken Ukraine’s position on the international arena and marginalize nationalist movements.

We commit ourselves to continue to keep fraternal relations between all the peoples of Europe and, if possible, to respond to the threats of anti-national provocations.
We are ready for dialogue with the representatives of the Hungarian Consulate and the organization KMKSZ for improvement of our relations, mutual understanding and avoidance of interethnic conflict on our peaceful Silver Land.

Recall that the nationalist movement "Carpathian Sich" in recent months has been declaring the need to establish fraternal relations with the Hungarian party, having changed the frankly aggressive rhetoric of recent years.
