For more than six months, it has been traveling through the cities of Ukraine, uniting people into a single nation. It is a map of Ukraine embroidered within the framework of the All-Ukrainian patriotic campaign "My embroidered Ukraine". This was announced on Facebook by Fedir Shandor.
And now, on the way from Luhansk region, the map arrived to Transcarpathia, so that the inhabitants of our region could take part in the creation of the historical map of unification. In Transcarpathia, the map was embroidered in Uzhgorod, Perechyn, Mukachevo and Svalyava.
The organizer of the campaign Tetyana Dyakivnych said that since June 22, the map has already visited most regions of Ukraine. There are eight more left, in particular, our Transcarpathian, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kyiv regions.
Currently, nearly six thousand Ukrainians have contributed to the map. The youngest participant is three years old, the oldest one is almost ninety.
After the end of the campaign, they plan to publish a book about the map creation.
The co-organizer of the project, Irina Kharatin, noted that all the events, which the embroidered map took part in, would be described the book. This story should be in the form of a virtual journey across Ukraine so that everyone, who reads the book, can visit the place where the map was embroidered.
