The Cabinet of Ministers intends to introduce the post of business ombudsman.
This was announced at the briefing by the Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko.
"We want to introduce the institution of business ombudsman, the body which will be a
communicator between business and government officials on issues of deregulation, the
simplification of business conditions and illegal activities of the various bodies of the government," –
he said. The new post is scheduled to be introduced for later this year.
This measure is listed among the 10 steps to fight corruption adopted at the meeting of the Cabinet
of Ministers on Wednesday.
In particular, the Cabinet plans to submit to the Parliament the law on tax compromise that will allow
companies that have debts to the state to legalize their financial performance by January 1, 2014.
In addition, the anti-corruption program includes the development of a package of laws on
simplification of regulatory procedures.
Petrenko said that this bill was an initiative of the public. He added that over the past three months,
the Cabinet had abolished the 67 regulatory approvals.
