The Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft budget for 2014

The Government approved the draft state budget for 2014 and postponed the reducing of VAT.

This was announced by the deputy head of the presidential administration Iryna Akimova, "Interfax-Ukraine" reported.

"[The budget] has been preliminary approved. As for macroeconomic indicators, this is the question to the Ministry of Economy and Finance," – she said after the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

Akimova also announced that the government has decided to postpone the reduction of the VAT rate until 2015.

As reported, while drafting the budget for 2014, the Cabinet may consider two scenarios of economic development, which were calculated by the Ministry of Economy as of the end of November 2013.

Recall, December 17, the Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Rybak said that the Verkhovna Rada would consider the adoption of the state budget for 2014 on December 19.
