The Cabinet canceled re-registration of drugs.

This was announced after the meeting of the government by the Minister of Health Oleksandr Kvitashvili on Wednesday, – the "Interfax-Ukraine" informed.

"The procedure for registration of medicines will be simplified," – he said.

Previously, the need for elimination of the drug re-registration was suggested by domestic pharmaceutical manufacturers.

It was reported that representatives of the pharmaceutical industry, in particular, noted unclear status of the National strategy for health care reform presented at the end of 2014 and submitted their proposals.

In addition, pharmaceutical associations are concerned about the bill that provides for the transfer of functions of state registration of medicines from the Ministry of Health to the State Drug Service, they are also concerned about the non-transparency of appointments of the health care system managers. They asked to hold an open competition for the post of the head of the State Drug Service.

The pharmaceutical associations also expressed concern about "the return of non-transparency in the registration of drugs."
