The Cabinet asks to dismiss 13 governors, including Moskal

The Cabinet of Ministers has submitted to the President Volodymyr Zelensky request for the dismissal of a number of regional state administration heads, the Ukrainska Pravda informs.

The Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said that at the government meeting on June 5.

"Today we are submitting to the president the request for dismissal of a number of regional state administration heads and we expect the Presidential Administration, together with the secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers, to develop the mechanisms for selecting new heads of the RSAs so that we could work efficiently. There should be responsible managers in the regions", – the prime minister said.

The Prime Minister however did not reveal the names of the governors.

The Government officials explained that current deputy heads of the RSAs would serve as interim heads of the regions.

The Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleksandr Sayenko told the UP that the government had approved the request for the dismissal of the heads of Lviv, Donetsk, Transcarpathian, Zaporizhzhya, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Volyn, Mykolayiv, Sumy, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Chernihiv regional state administrations and would submit it to the president.

"Now we have a common task to quickly find professional managers who will be in charge of the regions," – Sayenko said.
