The bridge in Yasinya is collapsing (PHOTOS)

In the village of Yasinya, the vehicle bridge over the Chorna Tisa river, on the Mukachevo – Ivano-Frankivsk – Rohatyn highway is collapsing.

The bridge is in poor condition, but the road service do not rush to repair it.  While the roadway of the bridge is still intact, the pedestrian zone is almost completely destroyed. Therefore pedestrians, including children, who go to school, are forced to walk on the roadway. And it is not safe.

Eduard Zelinsky, Yasinya village head says that he has appealed to the road service and to the district government and received one answer: no money. "After the destruction of the bridge, our village will be left without the access to the regional center, and Transcarpathia – to Ivano-Frankivsk region. Given the growth in demand for green tourism, and in winter many countrymen go through our village to the ski base "Bukovel" for vacation, the situation needs to be remedied urgently. Road service must urgently tackle the problem," – Eduard Zelinsky said.
