The book about the Transcarpathian priest-martyr Petro Pavlo Oros was presented in Uzhgorod

"Petro Pavlo Oros: the life and martyrdom" is the name of the publication about the Transcarpathian priest and martyr, which was presented at the Uzhhorod Greek Catholic Theological Academy named after Theodore Romzha.

The author is the Hungarian explorer Lászlo Puskás.  The scientific editor is the professor of UzhNU Serhiy Fedaka. The book is dedicated to the outstanding religious figure of Transcarpathia who was carrying out underground activities during the ban on Greek Catholic Church and who was shot because of the ministry back in 1953.

The book about the martyr was presented by László Puskás from Hungary, the rector of the Academy, Father Petro Beresh and the Bishop of Mukachevo Greek Catholic diocese Milan Shashik.

The latter said: the figure of Fr. Petro is important for believers, for the service to God at that time was necessary, though prohibited. Such people were the future of the church.

"Pavlo Oros served God for all of his life. He is a bright example of deep spiritual love for Jesus Christ," – Bishop Milan said.  

During the presentation, he awarded the author Lászlo Puskás with the Order of Blessed Theodore Romzha of the second degree.
