Today, the winners of the largest wine festival of the country "Red Wine" were awarded. Diplomas and special prizes were presented to the winners by the Mayor Andriy Baloha.
The winners of the festival: nomination "Best red wine" – Vasyl Pauk (Mukachevo) for "Cabernet Sauvignon". Nomination "Best wine festival" (blend) – Vasyl Antalovsky (the village of Bobovysche) for "Cahors". Nomination "Mayor’s award" – Ruslan Oros (the village of Dertsen) for "Cuvee".
The winners in the first two nominations received pumps and equipment to pump wine and mash. Ruslan Oros received a special award and an oak barrel from the mayor.
This year, 40 top winemakers of the region took place in the festival. 32 of them took part in the competition tasting. 45 wine samples were provided for competition tasting – (22 dry and 23 blending, dessert wines). The commission noted the increasing number of high-quality dry wines compared to the previous festival. The wine was rated for all common features, ie color, taste, aftertaste, smell and other properties.
