Carpathian Gastronomic Prize "Shovdar" is an annual award for the best restaurants of the region from the Transcarpathian Tourism Organization.
The award is presented to restaurants rated by users of social networks and gastronomic sites, nominated by experts of the "Transcarpathian Food Blog" team and rated by the jury.
According to tourism expert Fedir Shandor, the award "Shovdar" is a mark of quality of Transcarpathian restaurants.
The goal is to develop local restaurants and hospitality industry in order to increase the competitiveness of market participants and to inform consumers about the quality of restaurants in Transcarpathia.
The aim of the award is to identify the best Transcarpathian restaurants, bring together regional industry members to further develop and improve service quality, and help consumers navigate Transcarpathian restaurants.

The best coffee shop is River side in Uzhgorod;
The best winery is the Wine Garden in Mukachevo;
The best brewery is John Gashpar, Beregovo;
The best cheese factory is the Selyshche Cheese Factory in N. Selyshche;
The best restaurant is Kosino in the village of Kosino;
The best restaurant in Transcarpathian cuisine is Hrafsky Dvir in Mukachevo;
The best pastry shop is Stefanyo-Fekete Shosh in the regional center
Gastronomic discovery of the year is the first Transcarpathian pizza "Betyar Grill" also in Uzhgorod.
