Cooperation with civil society is one of the priorities of the new patrol police. During the year, the patrol police in Uzhgorod and Mukachevo have managed to establish a consistent interaction with active citizens, representatives of scientific and creative intelligentsia, diplomatic corps, non-governmental organizations. In this context, the productive cooperation with the Order of Maria Theresa and the Union of Diplomats of Ukraine headed by diplomat, lawyer, professor of UzhNU Alen Panov should be particularly noted.
In 2016, through joint efforts, several important projects were implemented. In January 2016, there was a series of trainings on history and international experience of police agency building, basics of diplomatic protocol, including the interaction with diplomats. In October, the system of around-the-clock video monitoring in the park of Maria Theresa, which is one of the tourist attractions of Uzhgorod, was launched. During the past year, the public monitoring of the work of the patrol police was carried out, which allowed to identify bottlenecks and correct important components of the workflow.
The competition for the best police crew in 2016 has just finished. The winners are Yuriy Frevlyk and Kristina Didyk. The winners, as a reward, received the chance to travel to Budapest and Vienna.
