The X International Youth Festival of Organ Music has begun in the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic. And after the guests from Hungary, three incredible musicians from Odessa will perform on our stage.
Olena Udras will play the organ. She writes her own works and transcriptions for the organ, wtote music for the film "Out of Play" and is the artistic director of the International Festival of "Organ Music Odessa Music Fest".
Oleksiy Petukhov, a jazz pianist, composer, participant of many jazz festivals and concerts in Ukraine, Russia, Bulgaria, Germany, France, will also perform in Uzhgorod. The musician is called a beautiful melodist and romantic, who seeks inspiration in the perfect world of fantasy.
And the star trio will be completed by the soloist of the Odessa Philharmonic and the Odessa Municipal Brass Band, one of the leading saxophonists of Ukraine Anna Stepanova. This extremely talented performer teaches at the musical faculty of the Southern Ukrainian National Pedagogical University, is the founder and president of the Golden Saxophone International Competition.
On September 16, in the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic, Olena Udras (organ), Anna Stepanova (saxophone) and Oleksiy Petukhov (piano) will play for Uzhgorod listeners a selection of beautiful works – from "Aria" by Bach to the tango from the film "Scent of a Woman" by Gardel, from "Seasons of the Year" by P. Tchaikovsky to "Fuzzy Bird" by the brilliant Japanese self-taught composer Takashi Yoshimatsu. We will also hear the works of Olena Udras and Oleksiy Petukhov performed by the authors.
