At the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, there was the meeting of the organizing committee with the participation of the Regional State Administration and Regional Council management on organization of the largest sporting events to be held in Uzhgorod soon. One of them is Championship of Ukraine in rhythmic gymnastics. It is not the first time, the regional center of Transcarpathia hosts competitions of this level.
The Championship of Ukraine in rhythmic gymnastics will be held from July 30 to August 2 at the sport complex "Yunist". Teams of regions in individual and group exercises will take part in the event.
At the meeting, they were considering various issues, including the provision of security by law enforcement bodies, medical care, transportation of participants and, to some extent, accommodation of participants.
The Chairman of the Regional Federation Valentina Plavayko says that for Ukrainian leading athletes this competition is very important because in August our gymnasts are going to Budapest for the World Cup (5-9 of August), and in a month the World Championship starts in Stuttgart (September 7-9 ). Therefore, coaches will be closely watching the girls.
Recent events in Transcarpathia have not deterred athletes from all over Ukraine. Not a single team refused to go to Uzhgorod – Valentina Plavayko said.
