The benefit for the first child birth will be increased by 10 thousand

On July 1, the benefit for the first child will be increased by 10,320 UAH and will amount to 41,280 UAH.

This is provided by the Law of Ukraine "On prevention of financial disaster, and creating conditions for economic growth in Ukraine", approved by the Parliament on March 27, 2014, the Ekonomichna Pravda with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Social Policy reported.

As noted, in order to optimize the social protection of families with children, the maternity benefit and the benefit for children under the age of three were combined in one type – the maternity benefit.

Besides, from now on, the sum does not depend on whether the child is the first, the second, the third, etc. in the family, the state sets a fixed amount of benefit – 41,280 UAH.

"Immediately after the child’s birth, a family shall receive 10,320 UAH. The remaining amount of the benefit shall be paid to the family within 36 months, 860 UAH per month. If the family member receiving the benefit decides to return to work, payments will continue until the child is 3 years old" – the statement says.

The period of leave to care for a child under the age of three years shall be included in the work experience
