The bankruptcy case of ‘Central-Start’ returned to retrial

The Court of Appeal of Transcarpathian region decided to satisfy the prosecutor’s office and lawyers’ appeal and return the bankruptcy case of one of the biggest Transcarpathian credit union ‘Central-Start’ to retrial – informs Karpatnews.in.ua. 

The Court of Appeal of the Transcarpathian region session which was appointed for today is supposed to decide whether to return to investigation one of the biggest region cases which concerns 700 Uzhgorod citizens-victims.

The Region Prosecution’s office and MIA were blocking the case investigation of stealing funds from Transcarpathia regional credit union ‘Central-Start’ as the victim investors believe. The Chairman of the Board KS Dzhanda M.I., her family and a number of persons stole more than 30 million hryvnia from more than 700 Transcarpathians during 2001-2008. And nearly 20 million is in banks.

In fact, every hundredth family suffered in Uzhgorod. More than 80% of depositors are pensioners, disabled and socially unprotected, teachers, doctors, intellectuals who invested all the savings in this union and now don’t have money for treatment and decent existence. Nearly 15 depositors died during the period of investigation.
