The avalanche hazard in the mountains remains

On February 5-6, in connection with thawing, significant avalanche hazard (level III) will remain in the mountains of the eastern part of Transcarpathian region. 
In the mountains of the western and central parts of the region, moderate (level II) avalanche hazard is expected.

To avoid tragical incidents, tourists should observe a number of rules. First of all, we insist on mandatory registration of all who climb in the Carpathians. During the registration at mountain search and rescue points, you can receive current information about weather conditions in a certain area, avalanche hazard, and determine the best route. Also, you should prepare for a hike by taking: a charged mobile phone, an additional battery, a GPS navigator, warm clothes, hunter’s matches, a lighter, a mat, a thermal blanket, a map of the area, a compass, and other equipment that will help you survive in the mountains.
