A schoolgirl from Transcarpathia went to "The Voice" to save the village music school. 15-year-old Marina Frehan said that in an interview. The girl explained that she took part in the project in order to prevent the closure of the music school in her home village.
Unfortunately, the star coaches did not turn to the talented singer from Khust district. At "The Voice" Marina sang an English song from the repertoire of Jennifer Hudson "And I’m telling you I’m not going" and, according to Tina Karol, it was not a good choice.
"I am honestly shocked. There have been no plans to close schools of art in Khust district. On the contrary, art education in rural areas is a priority. This year, we have opened a branch in the village of Rokosovo. By the way, Sokyrnytsia school is one of the leading ones. They are provided with everything. The school was built at the time, when we were able to provide them with all the necessary tools – Svitlana Dzyamko, the acting head of Culture and Tourism Department of Khust District State Administration told a journalist of Uzhgorod.in. – I do not know where the girl got this information. The director of the school of art, where Marina Frehan studies, said that in the interview she had described the general trend in Ukraine. The director says that the girl had just made a mistake. Maybe it was a PR move. Currently, everything is fine. I emphasize – there are no plans to clos the school at all." The official said that at present all the art schools in Khust district are financed by the District State Administration. This money is provided, and no one is going to close educational institutions. This information was confirmed by the regional department of culture.
