The celebrations were jointly prepared by two Hungarian organizations – Transcarpathian parties KMKSZ and UMDSZ, that until now celebrated it separately, the Mukachevo.net informed.
The State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Hungary Levente Magyar said that "2017 will be inscribed in the history of Hungarians in Transcarpathia with gold letters" because Hungary this year allocates 20 billion forints (about 65 million euros) for the development of the economy of Transcarpathia.
Levente Magyar also noted that Ukraine can rely on the support of Hungary and Hungarians in Transcarpathia – on the protection of national minorities. Photos by Laszlo Fjulop.
