The AMC advises supermarkets to refrain from raising prices for eggs

The Antimonopoly Committee recommends egg producers and retail chains to refrain from setting unreasonable wholesale selling prices for eggs during the Easter holidays.

This is stated in the press release of the Committee, the "Interfax-Ukraine" reported.

The analysis of the economic situation on the chicken egg market conducted by the AMC showed no objective economic reasons that could lead to higher prices for this product.

Compared with February 2014, the price of eggs sold by agricultural enterprises has increased by more than 70%.

Entities are required to report on the results of the review of recommendations to the Antimonopoly Committee within fifteen days from the date of receipt.
