The additional import fee may be prematurely canceled

The additional import fee in the amount of 5% to 10%, which was introduced to improve the balance of payments, may be canceled earlier than planned.

This was announced by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Ayvaras Abromavichus, the "Interfax-Ukraine" reported.

"There is a chance that it can be canceled before the end of the year" – he said at a press conference in Kyiv.

According to Abromavichus, the Ministry supports business in this matter and is gathering information on the results of application of this fee.

The Minister said that the position of the MEDT on the import fee would be announced in the coming week.
