The 16th Traveling International Documentary Film Festival Docudays UA will start in Transcarpathia in November

Uzhgorod teachers and students will be able to watch DOCUDAYS UA-2019 films 
In November, the 16th Traveling International Documentary Film Festival Docudays UA will begin in Transcarpathia. This year, teachers and students of Uzhgorod educational institutions will once again watch the most interesting documentary films on human rights, the education department of the City Council informs. 
Asking the question "Allow the application to change your mind?", this year’s festival reflects on how our daily lives, habits and communication patterns are changing due to digital technology, what new opportunities it opens, and what threats related to control and information security are hidden in the digital network. There will be interesting discussions, events, exhibitions and more. The program "NETWORK" is a kind of screenshot of a modern virtual world. Students will be able to reflect on high-profile cases solved by finding the evidence in the vast expanses of the Internet, seeking the truth in the sea of fake news and contradictory facts. Short films about important things in the DOCU / SHORT selection are extremely exciting. The human rights component will be represented by the All-Ukrainian Campaign against Cyberbullying, which aims to reduce cyberbullying by informing the public and advocating for changes to the state human rights policy. There will also be lectures and discussion venues with stories about digital rights protection practices.    

The festival is not political or commercial. Docudays UA is the only international festival of documentary films on human rights in Ukraine. It is a member of the International Human Rights Film Network. It takes place every year in Kyiv during the last week of March. Upon completion, Docudays UA traditionally presents the best films in the regions of Ukraine during the Traveling Festival. The screenings and discussions of the films with the participation of human rights experts run from October through December.     The XVII Docudays UA will be held from March 20 through March 29, 2020 in Kyiv.
