Several settlements of Khust district can not provide salaries even for employees of village councils. As a result, village heads make statements in the media about lack of funding and debts. The issue of funding will be considered at the session of the district council.
– The situation is very telling, when you consider that Khust district is 92 percent subsidized – Hennadiy Moskal said. – For example, the own revenues in the village of Kopashnevo are just enough for the salaries of the village council employees for six months at most. In Nankovo and Lypovets, the situation is even worse. The vast majority of the villages in the district survive solely through grants and subsidies. So I want to reiterate that local communities in Khust district can be united only around the city of Khust, which is financially self-sufficient and can provide for the surrounding villages.
