Tea has blossomed on a long-abandoned tea plantation on the Chervona Hora near Mukachevo. This was reported to the ukrinform by a tourist guide Maxim Adamenko.
“Tea experts from Korea and Ukraine came to Transcarpathia and visited the abandoned tea plantation near Mukachevo set out as an experiment by Soviet agrarians in the 1950s. Tea is blossoming there right now,” – Adamenko said.
According to Ukrinform, in 2015, a group of enthusiasts under the leadership of tea expert Maxim Malygin (Kyiv) was set up to revive the plantation near Mukachevo. They planned to create a tourist route with a tea ceremony, but the experiments failed.
