The exhibition dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of Shevchenko titled "Taras Shevchenko in the works of Transcarpathian artists" has opened in the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life.
The exhibition is made of the stock collection of the museum. It features the works on the subject of Shevchenko: portraits, bas reliefs, sculptures of Shevchenko and embroidery based on Shevchenko’s works.
Among the exhibits, there is a bas relief by V. Astalosh, embroidered towels by M. Balazs, M. Tsuda,
M. Havrylo, a wooden sculpture by Z. Perestyuk, a carved triptych by I. Tchaikovsky, a plaque by V. Sidak, a sculpture by I. Romaniuk – this is not the full list of authors and their works.
Students of Grade 6 of Uzhgorod Economic Lyceum (class teacher Monica Livak) took part in the opening ceremony.
The exhibition at the museum will last for another week.
