Talking about corruptіom, the Mіnіster of Education of Ukraine mentioned Vashchuk’s fake diplomas

At a press conference on the topic "Fight against corruption in education: the most important examples", the Education and Science Minister S. Kvit told about the attempts of former heads of universities to return to the positions they held before.

As an example, among other universities, he mentioned Uzhgorod National University, noting that its fomer Rector Fedir Vashchuk is cynically trying to get reinstated in court. "It is easier to say what violations were NOT committed there," – the minister said. He also said that although Vashchuk was dismissed on his personal request, but it was the demand of students during the revolution. The ex-rector is trying to come back, but accusations against him are glaring, and they have been proved: he gave or rather sold two universities in the Czech Republic fake diplomas of Uzhgorod State University.

The scandal emerged in the Czech Government, and universities in Prague and Plzen complained to the Ukrainian Ministry. "I can cite many violation, and Fedir Vashchuk is involved in them too. Those people are afraid of nothing, and they believe that their time has come again, so they can come back," – Serhiy Kvit commented.
