Talented Uzhgorod performers won the Spring Ball International Competition

Five first places in various nominations and age categories and the Grand Prix!

Until recently, it was only a dream. And now, students of Uzhgorod Institute of Culture and Arts under the guidance of their teachers are confidently winning at high-class creative events. Third year student Serhiy Fanta (teacher Olesya Hlukhanych) impressed everyone with his skill, high professionalism and charisma. He participated in two solo nominations of the senior age category – Instrumental Music. Classical (piano) and Instrumental Music. Pop (piano). And in both nominations he confidently outperformed the competitors, taking first place. 
  
Serhiy Fanta won another first place as a member of the piano duet White & Black together with his teacher Olesya Hlukhanych. 
The performance of "Rhapsody in Blue" by G. Gershwin brought Serhiy Fanta a well-deserved Grand Prix of the competition. It is noteworthy that this is the first time in the history of our educational institution that an instrumentalist student has won the Grand Prix at an international competition. Congratulations to Serhiy and his teacher Olesya Hlukhanych on this wonderful result.  
Another our talented student of the 4th year Veronika Lenart (teacher Lykhtey Miroslava) won the first place in the youth professional age category. This is Veronika’s third major award at various art competitions in a relatively short period of time.  
Second year student Ivan Shchomak (teacher Yulia Melyokhina) won another first place for the institute. It was a competition debut for him, and it is great that it went so well. We wish Ivan and his teacher further creative growth and more victories!
