Swans on the “Kirpichka” lake “Brick” had a cygnet – unfortunately, only one (PHOTOS)

The man said that this morning the family of swans on the Uzhgorod "Kirpichka" lake had swam out into the open water for the first time after nesting. But, as it turned out, out of the whole brood (which is usually 6-8 eggs), one gray fluffy cygnet hatched so far…

"It is difficult to say what happened and if more cygnets will hatch, but that’s what we have now… probably the reason was recent cold weather and (according to fishermen) rise of water level after rain, which could lead to some of the eggs ending up in cold water," – Vasyl assumes. And asks visitors: do not feed swans with coarsely chopped vegetables, do not let your dogs to the shore without a muzzle. After all, we need to preserve this beauty…
