Svalyava District Council was recognized the winner of the competition “Best Practices of Local Self-Government” in Ukraine

Svalyava District Council is among the "best practitioners" of Ukraine! Thus, according to the results of the contest "Best Practices of Local Self-Government 2020", a special award was presented by the Deputy Minister of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, Chairman of the Competition Commission Vyacheslav Nehoda to the chair of Svalyava District Council Myroslava Lyvch for creating a safe, comfortable and attractive living environment. 

During the meeting with the winners of the competition, Vyacheslav Nehoda noted that in a few years more than a thousand applications had been received, a significant part of them had been from the united territorial communities. "This suggests that the creation of capable communities opens a space for new ideas aimed at their development.  The communities compete with each other for ideas, business investment and their appeal – said the Minister, adding: – Conducting the competition "Best Practices of Local Self-Government” has become a good tradition in Ukraine and one of the important and exciting events in the annual calendar of Ukrainian local self-government and the Council of Europe”. 

Myroslava Lyvch, accepting the award, noted that thanks to the consolidated cooperation with the deputies of the district council and the executive staff we have a successful result for the benefit of the communities of Svalyava district.
