SUV with cigarettes was stopped near the border

On the outskirts of the village of Esen, criminal investigation officers of Chop City department and Chop detachment border guards stopped the car "UAZ" moving towards the Ukrainian-Hungarian border in order to check it. During the inspection of the SUV law enforcement officers found 10 boxes of cigarettes wrapped in black polyethylene, which had been carried by a 29- and a 34 – year-old residents of nearby areas. The car with the non-excise cargo delivered to the impound lot, the driver and the passenger of the vehicle are providing explanations for law enforcement officers. For transporting illegally manufactured tobacco products for further sale the men are facing a fine from 1000 to 2000 untaxed minimum citizen incomes and confiscation of illegally manufactured products (Part 1 Art.204 CC) – the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region informs.
