The traditional wine festival ‘Sun Drink’ (‘Sonyachniy Napiy’) started in Uzhgorod today, on April 28. Although, according to the wine festival organizer Alexandr Kovach, the official opening will be held at 1 p.m. tomorrow, however, the places in the wine cellar ‘Sovyne hnizdo’ are practically all filled with winemakers, beekeepers and cheese makers today.
The tents with the various souvenirs and gastronomic wares such as embroidery, ceramics, jewelries and wood products were settled at the Poshtova Square in the public garden which is opposite to the Security Service building. However, the entrepreneurs’ tents are not in the city ‘corporative’ style this year, but ‘disparate’ – ‘Chernihiv’, ‘Rohan’, etc.
The prices for wine vary. For example, 1 liter of 10-year-old ‘Troyanda Zakarpattia’ costs 150 hryvnia.
The entrance to the wine cellars is free of charge despite the previous organizers plans to make it paid.
