On June 9, rescuers organized a fire-preventive campaign in the village of Dyida in Beregovo District, the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region informs.
The residents were told about the fire situation in the district and reminded the basic rules of safety. In addition, officers of the Rescue Service visited local entrepreneurs and talked to them on the same topic.
During the campaign, the rescuers visited nearly two hundred private households and talked to their owners. In particular, they stressed on the ban to burning of dry vegetation, which can lead to devastating fires in ecosystems. And of course, they discussed the rules of behavior on the water. This is especially relevant for the village of Dyida because last year, a man drowned in the local lake.
At the end, the rescuers visited the youngest village residents – pupils of the local kindergarten. Three dozen children listened to a lecture from the rescuers backed by visual illustrations. In simple terms, the kids were explained how to prevent fires at home. Thus, children learned safety rules themselves and will be able to remind them to their parents.
