Successful April for Transcarpathian orienteers (PHOTOS)

Last April brought Mukachevo orienteers many positive emotions. At the regional championship in Uzhgorod, Lyudmila Kalcheva and Katerina and Vladyslav Tsepurdeys, Karina Svatko and Daryna Lozitska won championship titles among the youngest atheletes, Nina Tsepurdey and Arthur Svatko became winners among cadets. Nina Raschupkina, Oleksandr Kasyanov and Vladislav Frantsuzov won in the main – adult – category, and Andriy and Svitlana Lozitskys, Lyudmila Hryshko and Igor Frantsuzov were the winners among athletes older than 35.

32-year-old master of sports Serhiy Babich won on both distances of the Cup of Lviv, and his younger comrades Arthur Svatko and Vladislav Frantsuzov were competing in Hungarian Mandoki for the main title of the Spring championship of the club Honvéd Bottyán SE.

Members of Mukachevo club "Tovarysh" also show high results in athletics competitions. Thus, Serhiy Raschupkin has already become the winner of several international half marathons held in Slovakia and in Ukraine, and Dmytro Terpay on April 26 for the first time in a sports career successfully finished the full marathon (42 km 195 m). At the ORLEN Warsaw Marathon, Dmytro finished with a score of 3:02.25, taking the 123rd place in his age category among 7357 participants.

All these trips, as well as the participation in the national championship, held in the capital, were funded by Mukachevo athletes at their own expense, so the news that a deputy of the regional council Andriy Baloha has allocated funds for the partial reimbursement of their expenses in Kyiv became a pleasant surprise for the athletes.
