Studying history on the territory of Uzhgorod castle (PHOTOFACT)

On the third week of the research, the members of the expedition engaged in archaeological excavations on the territory of the Uzhgorod castle reached the depth of 1 m from the floor level of the central nave. At the same time, they began to clear the rubble from the premises of the robbed crypts. In particular, one of the crypts was cleared to the floor level. They found there a medallion, a cross, fasteners, numerical rivets from coffins, as well as an interesting artifact – a XVI century sword. One intact crypt was found there. The work continues, the Uzhhorod Castle informs.
