Students’ scholarships will rise to thousand hryvnia. Such will be the amount of subsistence minimum to which will be equated the scholarship according to the Law on Higher Education. The Cabinet of Ministers should receive it on consideration tomorrow, June 25, reports TSN.
The new version of the law, which cannot be adopted for 2 years, involves educational and qualification levels’ changing, academic titles and creation of the new independent departments which will control the process of academic degrees awarding and will issue the licenses to universities.
According to the authors, a number of innovations will strengthen the independence of rectors from line ministries, and the financial independence of universities.
