As part of the joint special border guard operation "Border – 2017" and to strengthen the fight against smuggling activities, yesterday, students of the National Academy of the State Border Service of Ukraine arrived to Transcarpathia.
The newcomers together with border guards of the Mukachevo detachment will strengthen the protection of the state border, help to block possible routes of cigarette smuggling and counteract illegal elements associated with illegal activities at the border.
Near the border, tents were set up for the students with all necessary living conditions. In addition, the proximity to the border will allow to quickly respond to any attempts of state border violation and to practice the theoretical knowledge acquired.
The female students, who came to Transcarpathian region, will be serving at checkpoints on the state border. The students are provided with everything necessary for their service – up-to-date equipment, special devices and all-terrain vehicles that will allow them to effectively perform the full range of tasks on the prevention of unlawful activities on assigned sections of the border.
