Students of the College of Culture and Arts spinned “The wheel of women’s fate”

On October 29, in the theater hall of Uzhgorod College of Culture and Arts, there was the premiere of the play "The wheel of women’s fate" dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the famous writer, playwright and actor, coryphaeus of Ukrainian theater Ivan Karpenko-Kary.

The subject was chosen not randomly, because the writer devoted a lot of thought and, in consequence, works to the fate of women. Mother, sister, spouse, wife, daughter – Woman… Each of them bears the burden of moral responsibility for the welfare of the family and loved ones, and is often left alone with her own problems and difficult circumstances: the usual everyday problems to a more global and, at times, insurmountable phenomenon – social inequality.These issues were raised in such dramas as "Hireling" and "Unfortunate".

The teacher of directorial disciplines, chairman of the cyclic commission for mass and theatrical events Oksana Dhyp based her production on fragments from several works of Ivan Karpenko-Kary.In addition to nonoring the anniversary of the classic, according to the director, this show is a great opportunity for students to practice their theater skills on one of the most brilliant material in the domestic drama art.
