According to the Transcarpathian Regional Center for Hydrometeorology, on July 25, heavy rains and thunderstorms are expected in Transcarpathian region and the city of Uzhgorod. In some places – heavy showers and large hailstones. During thunderstorms, in some places – squally wind gusts of 17-22 m / s, – the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region warns.
On 25-26 of July, rise of water levels by 0.5 – 1.5 m is expected on the rivers, in the lower reaches of tributaries – up to 2.0 m above the levels of 08.00 July 24, water may break through onto the floodplain. In the areas of heavy rainfall, there will be significant local runoff, rapid increase in water levels in small watercourses, mudslides may occur.
