Street Workout – wonders on the bar. Open Championship of Uzhgorod (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

An interesting sporting event was held on the playground, which is on Pravoslavna embankment in Uzhgorod.

Conventional horizontal bars, which are abundant on the playground near the school, known in Uzhgorod as the former vocational school № 6, became the venue for the Open Street Workout Championship of Uzhgorod.

The open championship was attended by more than 50 athletes workouters from Uzhgorod, Mukachevo, Mizhhirya, Chop, Rakhiv and other settlements in Transcarpathia. Their age ranges from 14 to 17.

The organizers of the tournament were the head of Uzhgorod martial arts federation Yevhen Molnar and the head of Uzhgorod Team «Street workout Uzhhorod» Vladislav Rushchak.

Representatives of the NGO "Self-help of Transcarpathia", invited to the tournament, expressed their intention to work on establishing the apparatuses, necessary for these excercises – ordinary bars – in the maximum number of yards in Uzhgorod. In this way, they believe, Uzhgorod youth will have simple and easy access to this modern, interesting and, as it turned out, spectacular sport.

Street  workout is a popular movement based on physical education using training equipment in public facilities such as school yards, parks, playgrounds in urban areas. Work out practice occurs outdoors and includes horizontal bar, parallel bars.
