Street radio on the bridge in Uzhgorod has been approved

Members of Uzhgorod city hall approved the installation of speakers on the pedestrian bridge.

Also, they decided to establish the board to monitor the information from the speakers.

As reported, the Institute of Mass Information emphasized that the creation of such a street radio requires special attention in the context of the content quality, in particular, the principle of balance, impartiality and reliability of information.

According to the Zaholovok, it was decided to permit the installation of eight speakers on lamp posts within the city center (Teatralna Square, the pedestrian bridge) for transmission and retransmission of radio programs on the following topics:

– Information from local newspapers;

– The announcement of the local government;

– Information of the ATO press center;

– Relevant interviews;

– Weather forecast.

Broadcast will take place daily from 9.00 to 19.00.

All permits for loudspeakers have been granted by the relevant authorities – the executive committee reported.
