Storm warning: Transcarpathians are warned about III and IV levels of danger

During the day, March 11, rise of water levels will continue in the following rivers of the region:

– on the Tisa river, in the area of V. Bychkiv

– in Khust by 0.2 – 0.4m (possibly reaching floodplain near the city of Tyachiv);

– Tisa river – the village of Vylok – by 1.5 – 1.9 m (11 – 12.03 within the native banks);

– in the lower reaches of the Borzhava by 0.4 – 0.6 m (within the native banks);

– Latorytsya river – the city of Chop, during 11 – 12 of March, an increase of the water level by 1.0 – 1.5 m, reaching the floodplain.

Information on the storm warning was provided by the press service of the Transcarpathian Regional Center for Hydrometeorology.

It is also noted that on March 11-12, in connection with the snowfall and blizzard, in the highlands of Transcarpathian region:
– in the western and central districts, significant avalanche hazard (III level);
– in the east of the region – high avalanche hazard (IV level) is expected.
